![]() ![]() If you’re looking for a quick read on a plane or by the beach, you’d be good with any of her novels. While Rock Paper Scissors is still my favorite Alice Feeney novel, Sometimes I Lie is a close second. It helped create a more robust story while also keeping it moving quickly. I appreciated the switching between different timelines and the inclusion of the diaries. ![]() This book WORKED! There were some parts that were harder to read if you’re a bit squeamish, but it wasn’t terribly gory. Sometimes, twists are predictable or so out of left field that it doesn’t even make sense. I feel like there were MULTIPLE twists that kept you guessing in the best way. She hit the ground running with Sometimes I Lie, and I am absolutely blown away. It is not even remotely fair that this was Alice Feeney’s debut novel. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it’s the truth? I believe I have discovered her “late” and so I’m trying to read all of hers that I can. I feel like I’m still trying to catch up on Alice Feeney books. ![]()
